About Us - Meet Dr. Minhas
Dr. Minhas was born and raised in Prince George BC. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of British Columbia majoring in molecular biology and pharmacology. Dr. Minhas then continued on at UBC completing his doctorate in dental medicine. While attending university Dr. Minhas was fortunate enough to have his undergraduate and dental research published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and the Journal of Canadian Dental Association. His dental research focused on the molecular basis of cleft palate formation in children.
At Dental Solution we strive to provide the utmost in oral health. Since beginning dental practice, Dr. Minhas has completed hundreds of hours in continuing education with an emphasis on implant dentistry, dental cosmetics, and complex dental reconstruction. Specifically he has obtained fellowship status (LVIF) from the Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dentistry. The Las Vegas Institute is the world leader in advanced dental education. Furthermore Dr. Minhas has spent several years training at the BC Implant Institute and the B.I.T.E.S. implant center. He feels that dentistry will be a life long learning process as advances in the medical/dental field are made daily.
Dr. Minhas lives in Prince George with his wife, Kiran and two boys Sean and Ajay. He loves sports as he grow up playing in the many sports associations in Prince George (PG Minor football/basketball/soccer and the PG Tennis club). He spends much of his spare time coaching senior high school football. He also teaches within the Northern Medical Program at UNBC.
